This piece is a painting series of  “Ready to Welcome.”  While the original piece “Ready to Welcome” invites viewers into the situation in which the trauma visits us and narrates how to act when they suddenly encounter it, this piece describes in detail the process of facing and opening the door. An abstract black pattern metaphorically captures the experience of trauma, dragging one into an unfamiliar realm. The painting vividly portrays the overwhelming emotions tied to traumatic memories, embodied by the pervasive black pattern. Each brushstroke represents indelible marks, reminding me that eradicating trauma entirely is insurmountable. Instead, I choose to embrace the darkness, allowing it to permeate the canvas as it has permeated my life. While initially unsettling, the black patterns gradually empower me to adapt and find solace within them.
